Amigurumi octopus

Materials:

DK (8 ply) weight cotton – I used Novita Freesia (100% cotton; 50 g / 134 m)
contrasting color (in the same approximate weight) for the ruffle
crochet hook 2.5 mm
polyester fiberfill
black thread for stitching the eyes
darning and embroidery needles

Here is my version of amigurumi octopus. The person who first invented the octopus with those curly crochet tentacles was really a genius. In my pattern the tentacles are crocheted to the body, so it`s safer for little babies. Also, I didn`t use safety eyes. Instead the eyes can be embroidered or skipped at all.
