CROCHET GAUGE:
12 half-double crochets in width = 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4”.

CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 6 MM = US J/10.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller hook size.

This crochet headband model was created for March Science. It is a very simple headband design adorned with a DNA thread created from a combination of a crochet chain and embroidery stitches. This is a fun science design, but the idea can also be adapted to create other patterns.
